This is the first base for finding out about innovations developed across Wessex using podcasts with supportive written information for those who want more detail. It is designed so that you can take innovations and good ideas and develop them in your own service. The link will take you to the site, it is developing all the time and we will be keeping partners up to date with new additions as we add them.
Partner staff can also access our project management site, the Wessex HIEC Partnership Hub (link button on the right). Here they can join in the discussion forums and take part in the local development programmes.
Our Partnership
The Wessex Health Innovation and Education Cluster is made up of 40 organisations serving a population of more than four million across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, East Dorset and South Wiltshire. It creates a dynamic geographical and inter-sector partnership.
Why Wessex HIEC?
NHS and local authority care services have to meet growing demands effectively while managing resources efficiently.

Re-design / Benefits Realisation
A meeting of the Telehealth/care network was held on Wednesday 25th January 2012 at the University of Southampton. The meeting discussed the results of the Whole System Demonstrator and how to use telehealth/care in systems re-design. Further details
Wessex HIEC Partnership Meeting
A meeting of the Wessex HIEC Partnership was held on Friday 9th December 2011. Board members learnt about the HIEC's contribution to local programmes during it's first operational year. The impact of the NHS Chief Executive's review 'Innovation, Health and Wealth' was also discussed. Further details
